Instructions
Step 1
Heat water in a coffee pot over the fire or on a stove. Aim for about 80°C (176°F). You’ll see small bubbles (“fish eyes”) and thin clouds of steam.
Step 2
Remove the pot from the heat, add the ground coffee and stir to make sure all of the coffee is wet.
Step 3
Put the lid on and let the coffee steep for 4–5 minutes.
Step 4
Stir gently a few times and replace the lid.
Step 5
Wait another minute for the grounds to settle.
Step 6
Pour coffee carefully into cups, avoiding the grounds - a little sediment is fine.
Step 7
As the coffee cools, more flavors emerge - take your time and enjoy every sip.
